Lot 13:
The hilt fittings are all nickel-plated, ebony grip, few small chips next to insignia. Blade is in excellent condition marked by “HERM. RATH / SOLINGEN” and SS runes underneath, indicating to be an earlier example of this maker, original leather buffer. Scabbard is straight without dents with most of the original black paint remaining, both scabbard mounts are retained by two screws. Original silk portepee with triple aluminum wire stitching and red highlight thread, the stem is flat metal type which is covered by aluminum crochet-like bullion material and acorn ball of yarn-like bullion thread.
