The album "Life Guard Cossacks HIM Regiment" is a joint project with the regiment museum of the Leib Cossacks in Courbevoie (France), the only surviving unique regimental museum of the Russian Imperial Army. The book presents about 500 rare photographs of officers, lower ranks and photographs of uniforms, weapons, dishes, documents, banners, prints, paintings, prize cups, awards, etc. from the museum collection and its branch in Brussels Belgium. Interesting photographs of several types of Cossack kilij sabers, group photographs of officers of the regiment. In the appendix lists all portraits of the regiment commanders. Almost all the officers on the photographs have been identified. The text of the book is based on the memories of the regiment officers of different times in combination with illustrative material enlightening the brilliant, brave and charismatic world of the Russian Imperial Army, the Don Cossacks and the spirit of Old Russia. Part of the material is devoted to the life of the Life Guard Cossacks abroad. The book describes several reigns beginning with Catherine II and ending with the Cossack emigration of the 30s.
