An antique American late 19th-century medal. The medal is constructed of a blue oval in the center with a gold oval with a relief depicting a man and woman in profile. On a blue background, there are 13 stars with white faceted stones in the center. The inscription on the gold border of the medal reads as: "DAMES OF THE REVOLUTION 1776-1896". At the top of the medal are three enameled blue flowers with stones in the center. There is an engraving on the back: "SN6/Larah M. Westbrook/Incorporator/June 22nd. 1896". 18K Gold, weight: 0.4 oz., 12 g.
