Evgeny Kropivnitsky (Russian, 1893 – 1979), abstract still life in color pencils and white on paper, 1972. Signed in the Cyrillic and dated lower right. Matted. Evgeny Leonidovich Kropivnitsky was a Russian poet, artist, composer, the recognized leader of the Lianozovo group in the 1950s and 1960s in Moscow. Father of the artist Lev Kropivnitsky. Provenance: Alexander Glazer Collection.
