Japanese glazed porcelain bowl of a tapering form, the exterior is painted with red and blue bands, and the interior features a hand-painted shunga (erotic) scene of a partially-nude couple in ornately decorated robes. Incised hieroglyphic mark on the bottom.Circa 1890.

Condition: Very good, no visible signs of restoration.
