Commemorative glass goblets from the coronation of King George VI of the United Kingdom and his wife Queen Elizabeth, the future Queen Mother. Each of the six goblets is etched with the Royal Cypher of George VI surmounted by a coronation crown. Inside the stem of each glass is a hollow chamber that holds a silver coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the profiles of George and Elizabeth, the reverse shows the royal cipher along with the year 1937 and is stamped with various hallmarks. The base of the stem is etched with the text ‘GOD SAVE THE KING’.

Condition: Near perfect condition. One glass with a minor stain on the base.
