A French hand-painted porcelain figurine depicting Horse for 11 REGIMENT DE CUIRASSIERS 1810 uniform. The collection of porcelain figurines was created by Mr. Adrien Van GERDINGE, a career soldier and lover of military uniforms and collectibles, under the trade name of "L’Etendard". He started this collection in 1966. It was his brother Jean-Jacques VAN GERDINGE, whom he entrusted with the research uniform ology and the first drawings. Then he asked Master Eugene Leliefvre and Lucien Rousselot (painters and military officials), well known to miniature lovers for having created and drawn collections of figurines including Historex for Eugene Leliefvre, to sculpt the original figurines. They were sent to East Germany, at the Sitzendorf factory, for the production of molds and porcelain parts. The characters are mounted, painted, fired in Sitzendorf, then dressed by Mr. Adrien Van GERDINGE and his daughter Murielle in France.
