A heavy spherical Bactrian breccia stone macehead, pierced longitudinally for attachment to a wooden shaft. Maceheads of this shape have been used in Bactria proper, north of the Hindu Kush mountain range and south of the Amu Darya river, covering the flat region that straddles modern-day Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, Egypt from the middle of the 4th millennium BC to the middle of the 3rd.

Condition : Good overall with what looks like small chips toward the top of the macehead.
