A very important khyber knife belonging to Abdur Rahman Khan (Pashto: عبد رحمان خان‎) (between 1840 and 1844 – October 1, 1901) was Emir of Afghanistan from 1880 to 1901. He was the third son of Mohammad Afzal Khan, and grandson of Dost Mohammad Khan. Abdur Rahman Khan re-established the writ of the Afghan government after the disarray that followed the second Anglo-Afghan war. With large Damascus blade and pronounced spine, with gold cartouche on each side one with the name of Abdur Rahman Khan (عبد رحمان خان) and the other with emblem of Afghanistan. Wooden scabbard covered with embossed black leather with silver mounts.
