A Dutch small sword featuring Latin slogan on the forte of the straight blade of flattened diamond section: "Recte Faciendo Neminem Timeas" (by doing the right thing, may you not fear anyone). Fire gilt bronze hilt with chiseled decorative figures on double shell-guard. Gilt bronze grip is decorated with chiseled figures, gilt round pommel and guard. Ca. first half of the 18th century

Condition: Blade is pitted, otherwise good
