Lot 535:
A Russian presentation shashka sword with gild blade featuring the following inscription in Russian "For the conquest of Kars, 4 – 5 November, 1877" on one side and "To Kotlovskiy N. S. from the service mates M. V. and F. R." Blade was made by Zlatoust Factory in 1870, and stamped "ZLATOUST 1870" and inspection/arsenal marks (in Cyrillic). Brass hilt, cross guard is stamped "206"
Dimensions: L: 34 7/8 in., (89 cm.)
Condition: Scabbard is missing, damaged grip, blade is in good shape
