A Soviet official issued Army knife "nozh razvedchika" (scout knife), Knife was introduced in 1940 and used throughout World War II. Straight single-edged blade with false edge, marked ZIK 1943, Zlatoust Instrumental Factory. S-shaped metal crossguard, the grip is one piece of black painted wood secured by a bolt on the pommel. The sheath of painted wood with metal tip and throat.
