Peasant woman in a traditional dress with a jug of milk. A lovely and well detailed porcelain figurine. The famous Gardner factory was considered the best porcelain enterprise of the Russian Empire. Similar figurines depicting peasant life in a romantic style (as on Alexey Venetsianov’s canvases) were very popular in 19th century.
