The inscription on the poster is: "Chto chas – to koroche k mogile ikh put’" ["With every hour is shorter their path to the grave"]. Artist Nikolai Dolgorukov (1902-1980). Published by "ISKUSSTVO", 1943. Circulation: 150,000. The poster was executed in monochrome and dramatic manner. In the lower part is a caricatured Adolf Hitler with satellites on the background of a cemetery dotted with crosses with Nazi helmets. From the huge mouthpiece the words fly out from above: "In the last hour the advance of the Red Army continues …". Color lithography on paper.
Dimensions: 11.75 x 17 in.
Condition: Good condition, with shallow folds, tears along the edges of the poster.
