A vase of a soft orange hue with a white-green etched floral pattern in the Art Nouveau style. Galle was the first artist to discover the possibilities of chemical processing technology for laminated stained glass. He applied this technique with a brush and acid, a free stroke, as in watercolor, removing one layer of glass after another.
