A Russian Icon of the Kazan Mother of God with gilded silver, cloisonné enamel on filigree, and pearl seeds oklad. The elements along the edges of the oklad are convex and resemble semi-columns. The vestments of the figures are finely chased out of gilded silver. The hallo of the Virgin is adorned with five pearls. Hallmarks: T. Bagdanov, I.E, 1971, St. Petersburg. Provenance: Sotheby’s, IMPORTANT RUSSIAN ENAMELS AND FABERGÉ FROM A NEW YORK PRIVATE COLLECTION, November 4, 2010.
