A rare antique Russian Empire silver medal "In Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Patronage of Alexander II over the 3rd Prussian Uhlan Regiment." Established to commemorate the anniversary of Alexander II mentoring over this Prussian military formation. Established in June 1879. The obverse of the medal depicts a portrait of Alexander II facing left. Along the edge of the medal on both sides, there is an inscription in German "ZUM ANDENKEN", [IN MEMORY]. On the reverse side of the medal, there is an inscription “KOEN.PREUSS.KAISER ALEXANDER V.RUSSLAND ULANEN REG. (1.BRANDENB.) No. 3”. In the center in two lines, there are dates "1829 1879" separated by two dashes. Weight: 0.4 oz., 12 g.
