AUCTION 25 ORDERS AND DECORATIONS: A LONG ISLAND COLLECTION
The lot includes: 1. A silver medal "In memory of the reign of Emperor Alexander III." On the obverse there is a relief profile of Alexander III turned to the right. On the right, in an arch along the rim, an inscription in Russian: "IMP. ALEXANDER III", on the left: a laurel branch. On the reverse under the image of the imperial crown, the years of the reign of Alexander III are indicated in two lines: "1881 1894". An image of a cross is placed under the dates. 2. A bronze medal "In commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the Romanov dynasty." On the obverse there are two portraits: Emperor Nicholas II in a uniform and the founder of the dynasty, tsar Mikhail Fedorovich wearing a Monomakh hat. On the reverse there is a horizontal inscription in Russian in five lines: "IN MEMORY OF THE 300TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REIGN OF THE HOUSE OF THE ROMANOVS 1613-1913". Weight: 0.4 o., 12 g.
