A Russian M1848 infantry tesak, solid brass hilt and crossguard marked with the Russian arsenal marks "12 p Vp 9" (in Cyrillic), inspection marks "T" and "24", "33", "3" on the bottom of the crossguard. Double-edged flattened diamond shape pointy blade stamped with inspection marks, leather-covered scabbard with brass throat and chape stamped with various inspection marks.
