Lot contains four original photographs, all photographs bear an official identification stamp with name of the person, rank and date. Photographs depict Soviet Russian high ranking military officials, Heroes of the Soviet Union, including 1) Pavel Fyodorovich Batitsky (27 June 1910 – 17 February 1984) Batitsky served in the Red Army from 1924 and was commander-in-chief of the Air Defense Forces from 1966 to 1978. Following the death of Joseph Stalin in 1953, he was chosen to execute Lavrentiy Beria, the former head of the NKVD; 2) Andrei Antonovich Grechko (Russian: Андре́й Анто́нович Гре́чко; 17 October 1903 – 26 April 1976) was a Soviet general, Marshal of the Soviet Union and Minister of Defense; 3) Sergey Georgyevich Gorshkov (Russian: Серге́й Георгиевич Горшков; 26 February 1910 – 13 May 1988) was an admiral of the fleet of the Soviet Union. Twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, he oversaw the expansion of the Soviet Navy into a global force during the Cold War.
