French Legion of Honour 5th Model "La Presidente 1851", a reduced size.The Légion d’Honneur order is a five-pointed star with doubled rays, made in silver, gold, and enamels. The star is surrounded by an oak and laurel wreath. On the obverse there is an Emperor’s portrait with lettering: "NAPOLÉON EMPEREUR DES FRANÇAIS." On the reverse, there is an eagle image and lettering: "HONNEUR ET PATRIE."
