Early Soviet propaganda porcelain teacup and saucer, Dmitrovsky porcelain factory Verbilki. Designed by Soviet artist Alexey Ivanovich Kaloshin. The cup and saucer are decorated with printed hand-finished patterns. The central cartouche on the cup depicts an image of Moscow Kremlin, on the back, there is a cartouche with the inscription "Moscow" in Russian with the letters USSR on both sides. Both the cup and saucer carry blue manufacturer markings on the verso. Circa 1931. Ref.: Soviet Propaganda Porcelain by Elvira Sametskaya, Moscow, 2004, p. 192.

Condition: Very good, no apparent signs of restoration, some wear on the cup’s rim
