Liubov Sergeevna Popova (Russian, 1889 – 1924), abstract composition with black and white figures on an ochre background. Signed with the Cyrillic initials and dated at the lower center: "L.P. 1921," also signed in Cyrillic at the upper left: "L. Popova." Liubov Popova was a painter, graphic artist, artist of decorative and applied arts. One of the "Amazons" of the Russian avant-garde, a remarkable figure of Russian Cubism and Suprematism.
