A carve-horn miniature engraved portrait of a prince in Baroque dress in a profile. The portrait depicts George Ludwig. Inscribed at the rim: GEORGE LUD. DUX. BR. ET. LUN. S.R.I ELECT. signed R.Faltz. Engraved as a reverse image for impressions. Mounted in a silver frame with a suspension loop for hanging. Hallmarks: STERLING. 18th century.

Condition: Very good, minor scratches to the surface.
