Signed in the Cyrillic and dated ’60 lower right. Housed in a gilt wooden frame.
Vladimir Igorevich Yakovlev was a Russian nonconformist artist, one of the most prominent representatives of the generation of the "sixties" and unofficial Moscow art. The grandson of the painter Mikhail Nikolayevich Yakovlev, a member of the Union of Russian Artists.
Provenance: Part of a personal collection of an Italian Ambassador in Moscow, 1960.
