AUCTION 32: APRIL 2022 DECORATIVE AND FINE ART SALE
Titled "A City Harbor" by Ludwig Hermann van Hoom, known as Ludwig Hermann (1812-1881), a Dutch artist who painted seascapes and city views. The artist was born in Greifswald in 1812. His works are exhibited in Berlin, Bremen, Leipzig, and London. The painting has a warm color palette, fairly smooth brush technique with carefully worked out details. The frame with small cracks appears to be of the time period of the canvas. The artist’s signature in the lower right corner is readable. The style of painting and technique is consistent with the known works of Ludwig Hermann. The painting shows craquelure throughout the painting surface.

Condition: Good overall with some craquelure and a frame chip
