AUCTION 32: APRIL 2022 DECORATIVE AND FINE ART SALE
Russian icon depicting the scene of the Annunciation. The icon is painted in egg tempera on primed wood. The nimbuses of the Archangel Gabriel and the Virgin Mary are made in silver and decorated with engraving. The frame is silver, with embossed patterns. Hallmarks on the frame: maker’s mark "JB" (in Latin) for John Blasball and "P.E" (in Cyrillic).
Dimensions: 12 3/4 x 10 3/4 in., (31.5 x 26.5 cm)
Condition: Overall condition good. Light wear and minor scratches.
