A German 1870 First Class Iron Cross. The cross’s obverse features a raised central W cipher for King Wilhelm II, re-institution date 1870 to the bottom arm, and a King’s crown to the top arm. With a vertical pinback, a barrel hinge, and a rounded catch. Marked with Johann Wagner and Sohn and 14 loth silver proof, which is equivalent to 875, hallmarks.
Dimensions: 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 in., (4.5 x 4.5 cm.)
Condition: VG.
