AUCTION # 33 ANTIQUE ARMS, ARMOR & DECORATIONS
An openwork brass shield of a circular convex form, with applied bosses and a crescent moon, the openwork decoration comprises deities on dense swaying foliate and floral ground. The rich floral decoration is inspired by Cutch’s goldsmith’s work. This type of shield had a ceremonial use.
