AUCTION # 33 ANTIQUE ARMS, ARMOR & DECORATIONS
The Indian brass shield dhal, Benares, late 19th century. Of circular convex form with upturned rim, made of hand-hammered solid brass elaborately chiseled with engraved mythical creatures among foliate patterns. The graved brass is decorated with red and blue enamel. The center is set with four domed bosses, affixed on the reverse by four ring bolts.
Dimensions: D: 10 5/8 in., (27 cm.)
Condition: Very good, minor dents and expeted signs of wear.
