Karel Nepras, an ink on paper drawing Untitled 1981, depicting an abstract human figure between the date 1981. Signed by the artist on the lower right. Matted and framed. Karel Nepras (1932 – 2002) was a distinctive Czech sculptor, draftsman, graphic artist, and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Karel Nepras studied from 1952-1957 Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. First, he worked as a cartoonist and illustrator, but by the end of the 60s, he began to dominate his sculptural work. In his works, he used nontraditional materials – often plumbing pipes, but also as a sink or toilet.
