Fine Russian porcelain decorative plate with a golden rim and chromolithograph design with hand-painted details representing a copy of artwork by Nikolay Karazin, Russian, 1842 to 1908. The design represents two female peasants in the field and a pole with birds. Marked on reverse with transfer printed factory mark and inscribed in Russian: ‘From the Original Painting by N. Karazin, ‘ initials ‘BK, ‘ ‘The Reproduction is Prohibited.’ Nikolay Karazin was a Russian military officer and painter.
