AUCTION 35: DECEMBER 2022 DECORATIVE AND FINE ART SALE
Extremely fine and rare Italian sculptural silver-gilt centerpiece. The sculptural composition depicts a female figure, most likely Aphrodite goddess, stepping out of a seashell, with five putti riding sea serpents, with enamel monogrammed plaque on front. Signed and dated on the base of the sculpture: "Eug Bellosio fece Milano 1897." Surmounted on a faceted metal tray, with pre-set circles for glasses. Complete with 15 drink glasses.
