European school, 19th-century oil on canvas Orientalist painting depicting a Turkish courting scene with a charming young lady and a man giving her a letter. Apparently unsigned. Housed in a richly decorated gilt wood and gesso frame. Probably Italian, circa 1890.
Dimensions: 35 1/2 x 21 in., (90 x 53.5 cm.)
Condition: The canvas appears to have no restoration or alteration examined unred the black light.
