English sterling silver loving cup flanked by two elegant silver-mounted handles hand-carved of natural materials. Engraved to the body: "H and M, " and a quote from the poem "To Celia" by the English playwright Ben Jonson: "Or leave a kiss within the cup / and I’ll not ask for wine / (your devoted friends)." Marked on the bottom: "Montgomery Bros. / Sterling / 3858/ 5 Pint, " and other English hallmarks.
Dimensions: H: 11 3/4 in., ( 30 cm.)
Condition: Very good.
