Incredibly rare KPM porcelain oval plaque hand-painted with a quarter profile portrait of a 7th regiment cavalry officer, Indian war period capitan. General George Armstrong Custer’s 7th Cavalry Regiment "Garryowen." Features an impressed KPM and scepter mark and inscribed ‘A. Balque/ Dresden’. Housed in a carved giltwood frame.Late 19th century.
Dimensions: 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 in., (26.7 x 21.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks.
