Kasli cast iron sculptural group "Lezgin Trick Riding" or "Lezgin Jigitovka, " modeled by Evgeny Lanceray, (Russian, 1848 – 1886), cast in 1972 on the Kasli iron foundry. Jigitovka is a practice on a galloping horse among some peoples of Central Asia and the Caucasus. Lezgins are a people belonging to the indigenous population of the southeast of Dagestan and the north of Azerbaijan. The composition of E. A. Lanceray depicts the moment of the battle. Two highlanders with guns in their hands are racing on horseback, rescuing persecution. One of the men is depicted rising to his full height on the stirrups, the other shoots back from the enemy.
