A chiwara is a ritual object representing an antelope. Used by the Bambara ethnic group in Mali. The figure is made in the vertical northern style of Segu and represents the masculinity power. The abstract expressiveness of the ciwara form made it very popular with the 20th century European artists.

Condition: Very good with signs of use
