An important dagger presented in 1981 by the Minister of People’s Defense of Bulgaria to the famous Bulgarian musician and composer Kiril Stefanov. Engraved presentation in Cyrillic on metal scabbard "TO K. STEFANOV FOR THE CULTURAL ACTIVITY FROM THE MINISTER OF PEOPLE’S DEFENSE ARMY GENERAL DZHUROV" (in Bulgarian "НА Н. А. К. СТЕФАНОВ ЗА КУЛТУРНА ДЕЙНОСТ ОТ МИНИСТРА НА Н. О. АРМ. ГЕН. ДЖУРОВ 16.02.1981 Г."). Dobri Dzhurov (Bulgarian: Добри Джуров) was a Bulgarian politician and military leader. He was the last Defense Minister of the People’s Republic of Bulgaria from 1962 to 1990. Musician Kiril Stefanov was a composer, conductor and art director of the Pirin Ensemble from 1956 to 2005. The dagger is a standard M1951 Bulgarian Army Officer dagger with off-white plastic handle scales and brass pommel and cross guard, straight blade with one fuller on either side, complete with original suspension chain.
