The badge is a four-piece construction, silver gilt with red, white, and green enamels, 53.3 mm x 53.3 mm, on an original neck ribbon with reinforced button holes on either end; and Breast Star: four-piece construction, silver gilt with a red, white and green enameled cross, on an eight-pointed star base, 76.5 mm x 78.3 mm, vertical pinback. Chipping evident in the green enamels of the wreath on the obverse of the Badge, light contact on the white enamels of the Breast Star, near extremely fine. In its hard-shelled case of an issue, the Hungarian crown on the lid lightly soiled raised platform with a recessed and slotted medal bed, light wear on the exterior, the case also near extremely fine.
