Richard Philips (the United Kingdom, 1681 – 1741), oil on canvas painting depicting a gentleman wearing a brown velvet coat and a long richly embroidered waistcoat. Signed by the artist: Rich. Philips pinxit, and dated 1728. Housed in an original giltwood and gesso frame from the original period bearing a metal bar inscribed: "Richd. Philips "Pinxit" (Signed and Dated 1728)."
Dimensions: 50 x 40 in., (126 x 101 cm.)
Condition: Good with minor scratches to the surface.
