AUCTION 35: DECEMBER 2022 DECORATIVE AND FINE ART SALE
German porcelain figurine of a rider on a horse, meticulously handmade and hand-painted, made and marked by the Kister porcelain factory in Scheibe-Alsbach, Thuringia, Germany. Mounted on a ground-modeled base with gilded Rococo motifs, stamped with a maker’s mark and "Made in GDR" mark in blue ink underglaze. Dated circa the 1960s. The porcelain manufactory was founded in 1835 and was nationalized in 1972. and became V.E.B. Porzellanmanufaktur Scheibe-Alsbach. The company continues to operate to this day as Porzellanmanufaktur Scheibe-Alsbach, Rudolstadt.
