Highly collectible Russian Orthodox silver-gilt Panagia pendant featuring a hand-painted icon of Theotokos holding the child Jesus housed in a beautiful case with openwork neo-Russian style motifs set with cabochon-cut red-colored gemstones. Complete with a skillfully crafted chain consisting of openwork links with a central link decorated with an engraved image of a dove. Made by Olovyanishnikov and sons workshop, maker Ekushev. Struck to the backside with a Cyrillic maker’s mark: EKUSHEV.
