Boris Efimov (Russian, Soviet, c.1900 – 2008), ink and pencil on card caricature drawing "V "svobodnykh i bogatykh" Soyedinonnykh Shtatakh" [In the "free and rich" United States], 1984. Inscribed in Russian on the lower right: "The poems by N. Entelis." Signed and dated ’84, lower right, also signed and titled in pencil on the upper margin.Note: Boris Yefimovich Yefimov was a Soviet, Russian and Ukrainian political cartoonist best known for his critical political caricatures of Adolf Hitler and other Nazis produced before and during the Second World War, and was the chief illustrator of the newspaper Izvestia.
